The Inn By The Sea is a beautiful oceanfront luxury resort and is Maine's premier luxury beach destination with 671 guest rooms, suites and cottages. We are located 8 miles from Portland, Maine. The Inn’s high service standards and friendly, well-trained staff earn the highest praise from the fact that our cherished guests return year after year. We have been hiring Work and Travel students for many years and love having students as part of our summer staff. Our students get to work with people from at least 10 other countries so they get to meet people from all over the world. On their days off, students explore Portland, Boston, or take a bike ride down to the beach.
Why Olympia Companies Inn by the Sea?
Cape Elizabeth is a town located on the Atlantic Ocean, a few miles south of Portland. It includes two islands and three coastal parks. The Beach to Beacon race occurs in August and runs directly in front of the Inn. This race is a world class 6.2 mile/10K race in Cape Elizabeth from Crescent Beach to Portland Head Light The race draws runners from all parts of the US and elite athletes from around the world. Portland is the largest city in Maine and the Greater Portland area is home to more than one-third of Maine’s total population. Portland’s historic Old Port and Arts districts draw tourists, particularly during the summer months. Portland is located on Casco Bay and is the hub for ferries going to populated islands located in the bay, the largest of which is Peaks Island.
