Embarking on a Work and Travel USA cultural exchange program is a life-changing milestone, but navigating registration, job placements, and US Embassy visa approvals requires clear direction. Self-arranged Program

The Self- Arranged program is for students who have contacts with US employers or have recommendations from former Work&Travel participants worked for this employer before. It is very important to make sure that the employer is able to provide all the necessary documentation in order to be approved by the sponsor on time. Once you get your job offer form filled in by your employer you need to present it to your WAT consultant and you will be informed about the next steps with your application status.

Job Placement Option

The Job Placement option provides full assistance in securing a verified US seasonal job offer before departure. Working alongside official US visa sponsors, we offer three direct pathways to secure your placement:

In-Person Job Fairs: Live interviews with US employers visiting Bulgaria. This is the best option for instant job securing and for groups of friends wanting to work at the same location.

Virtual Job Interviews: Scheduled online interviews hosted via platforms such as Zoom and Airmeet, accessible from home or any of our branch offices.

Online Job Databases (CIEE Connect, IEX System): Self-directed job placement portals allowing you to filter positions by English proficiency, preferred US state, start dates, and job role—ideal for independent applicants.

DS-2019- Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1) Status is an official document and you are not able to apply for J-1 visa interview at the US Consulate without one. It is issued on the base of a valid and approved by the sponsor job offer. That’s why your Job Offer is of that importance!
