Specific positions are assigned upon arrival to Six Flags Great Escape. Entry-level positions include: Ride Operator, Foods Host/Hostess, and Games Attendant. All employees will be responsible for the following: •Demonstrate a high level of customer service. Respond to and take appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints of guests. •Keep supervisor/manager informed of situations relating to facility operation, patron complaints or concerns, accidents, emergency situations, damages, and potential safety hazards. •Attend departmental and team meetings as well as participate in all additional training courses. •Perform all duties in a safe manner. •Employees may be asked to move to different locations or job assignments within the property, as needed. Other duties may be assigned. Games Attendant- Constantly monitor and regulate the behavior of patrons and co-workers in the ride area to prevent unsafe activities and accidents. • Warn patrons of safety hazards and enforce rules and regulations in a positive and courteous manner. • Assist guests in and out of rides which may include lifting children into seats and buckling seatbelts and/or safety harnesses. Operate ride controls, buttons, and switches which may be mechanical, computerized, or a combination of both. • Prepare ride area for opening and closing each day which may include test runs of the ride. •Keep all ride areas clean including: seats, cars/trains, ride platform, and guest line area. This may include sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and picking up trash. Control entry to ride areas by monitoring pass/ticket usage. Games Attendant: • Perform all aspects of game operations. • Monitors games area to ensure normal operation and guest and fellow Game Attendants are in compliance with all safety guidelines. • Ensures that games areas are clear of all clutter and trash. • May use microphones to engage guests to play games. • Visually and physically checks all games have needed games supplies. Food Host/Hostess: • Cooking or preparing food items according to procedure or recipes. • Preparing cold drinks, warm drinks, and any other non-alcoholic beverages. •All items must be prepared quickly and accurately ensuring no waste and in accordance with production and portion requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. • Handling sales which will include: taking correct orders, entering sales in a cash register taking money, counting out correct change (coins/bills), giving change (coins/bills) to customers, and completing credit card transactions. Maintaining and cleaning all Food Service areas including preparation tables, equipment, dishes, floors supply areas, refrigerators, coolers, sales areas, and customer areas (tables, chairs, serving lines, condiment stands, etc.).
