About the Region
South Casco is one of three villages that make up the town of Casco, Maine, and is located on Sebago Lake. This is the deepest and second largest lake in Maine and contains a seasonally occupied island (Frye Island). The population is approximately 3700, but is heavily visited by tourists in the summer. Casco is home to Sebago Lake State Park (one of the original state parks), “Casco Days” – an annual community fair held in July, and various camps.
