As an associate of the Residence Inn Ocean City you may be assigned to work in one or more areas of the hotel. Its is very important that students are flexible. Assignments will be based on abilities and skills of the student as well as business levels. The specific areas and overview of the job responsibilities are below. These job responsibilities can change and vary at any time. FOOD AND BEVERAGE ATTENDANT *Includes dishwashing, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, setting up meeting rooms, bussing tables, stocking and replenishing food, prepping/cooking food for the day, talking to guests, being friendly with a smile GROUNDS PERSON *Outside position, picking up trash and debris, empting trash bins and cigarrette urns, weeding flower beds, planting, cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, making the property look clean and fresh HOUSEMAN / LAUNDRY *Cleaning bathrooms, stripping rooms of dirty linen and trash, delivering linen and towels to guest rooms, stocking the pool with towels, assisting housekeepers with taking their trash or linens, making beds, seperating dirty laundry and putting laundry in the washer and dryers, folding laundry, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors POOL ATTENDANT *Clean the pool, maintain grounds of the plaza, stock pool towels, monitor the pool area to make sure guests have appropriate keys and are registered guests, clean bathroom toilets, bathroom sinks, stock paper towels, sweep pool deck, communicate with guests.
