Merchandiser are responsible for the flow or merchandise from the point of delivery to the sales floor and helping customers. This position is just not about heavy lifting, the company’s merchandising and display standards will be in your hands, so your work will ensure that products are easily accessible, visually appealing and constantly available: * Unload merchandise from truck that may involve heavy lifting up to 50 lbs * Mark items with identifying codes, such as price, stock or inventory control codes * Stocking shelves with the unpacked items * Greeting all guests as they enter the store in a timely manner * Working with guests, answering questions on merchandise, looking for product that may not be on the shelves that customer is looking for * Suggesting other merchandise items to go with guest’s original selection * Educating guest on amenities outside of the retail location * Maintaining and cleaning all retail areas including stock room, display areas, floors, and cash register/check-out area * Demonstrate a high level of customer service. Respond to and take appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints of the guests * Keep supervisor/manager informed of situations relating to facility operation, patron complaints or concerns, accidents, emergencies, damages, and potential safety hazards * Perform all duties in a safe manner
